Coming to Slush? – Catch the Walkbase dinos and get your face on a Times Square Billboard, NYC!

Every Finnish person will tell you that late autumn or early winter are not the best times for visiting Finland. This year we have got a little bit snow, but usually November is the season of  slush, constant rain, or simply grey, cold and gloomy weather.

Nevertheless, it is the time of the year when Europe’s leading tech conference, SLUSH, attracts 15,000 attendees (+ 1 million live stream viewers), close to 2,000 startups, 800 venture capitalists, and 700 journalists from over 100 countries to experience Helsinki’s uniqueness and this amazing conference.

Slush has been described as a “Burning Man meets Ted” event, and it has grown from a 300 person assembly into a world-renowned happening – spreading globally too. The philosophy behind Slush still remains the same: to help the next generation of great, world-conquering companies move forward.

Walkbase has partnered with Slush for 5 years in a row 

This is our 5th year at Slush, and during past years Walkbase analytics has provided event organisers and exhibitors with valuable insights on visitor behaviour.  With the help of detailed analytics data, organisers are able to improve the event experience and use rich behavioural  insights for optimising future events.The data includes, for example, the information on the most popular speakers and zones, the paths visitors took and the areas they dwelled in. 

In order to make SLUSH even bigger and better year-after-year, the organisers need to plan very carefully and here’s where Walkbase IoT solutions come in handy! With Walkbase solution the organisers can plan, for example, the capacity of exhibition space, presentation stages, food areas, staffing, and legendary after parties.

So far, it’s been a great, big year for us – lots of been happening worldwide too. We entered the US market to help “the high-street dinosaurs to bite back” there too. Due to our global success, we wanted to share some of it with you as well. If you are not around in the US for our Walkbase launch – at least you can get your face on Times Square, New York! Catch the Walkbase Dinos and get your face on a Times Square Billboard, NYC

The dinosaurs are out there for you to catch! You need to find either Blue, Red, Green or Yellow 
Dino’s and take a picture (selfies are recommended too!) with him/her. Follow the steps to participate:  

    1.    Find the #walkbasedino and take a picture with him/her
    2.    Upload the photo(s) to Social Media: Twitter/Facebook/Instagram
    3.    Make sure your photo is public and add the hashtags #walkbasedino #slush16 so we can find your photos.

What you win: 

The winner gets his/her picture on a billboard advert in Times Square in New York. Additionally, we’ll send you a photo to keep of your Moment of Glory and will throw in some Walkbase goodies for an added bonus.

Shortly after Slush, we’ll count up the dinos, make a draw and announce the winner who will then get his or her face on a Times Square Billboard for 20 seconds of fame. Make sure your post(s) is public and you use the right hashtags to be in with a chance to win! 

The more you collect, the closer you are to winning

The more dinos you see, the more photos you can take, and the better chances you have to win! Although, one photo is enough to participate – so get your cameras ready!
