Walkbase announces new Head of Account Management to strengthen footprint in UK

Analytics and marketing platform for retailers, banks and airports announces the appointment of Catherine Dawson as Head of Account Management

Helsinki – January 31, 2016 - Walkbase, the provider of in-store analytics for retail stores, banks and airports, today announced that Catherine Dawson has joined the team in the UK in a bid to continue the rapid growth the company saw last year. Cat officially started at Walkbase in November 2015 and will help grow Walkbase’s customer base in the UK.

Cat’s role will include helping retailers and airports use Wi-Fi and other existing in-store technology to provide detailed information on customers’ behaviour in physical stores. This insight will be used to integrate online and offline channels, enhance customer experience and track marketing performance.

Most of her career has been spent helping customers find new ways of solving business issues through engaging with technology. For the past 18 years Cat has worked in the communication and technology space, most recently as a Director for The Local Data Company, heading up the sales team in delivering retail location insights. Before that she was at Telefonica, leading key customers and sales teams and helping retailers embrace a move to the digital world.

The company recently announced a record number of customer wins, with 2015 Q3 revenues  exceeding the previous two quarters combined, contributing to more than 700% year-on-year growth. This was partly the result of three the UK’s main grocery stores deploying the technology as well as a contract to install the technology in all stores of global footwear and accessories brand, Dune.
